$6,500 in Jewelry Stolen, Police Say

The following information is provided by the Lower Merion Police Department. Arrests and charges do no indicate guilt.

Lower Merion police responded to two incidents of theft in the Ardmore area the week of March 15, according to a release from the department.

About $6,500 in jewelry was stolen from a residence on the 1300 block of Morris Road, and was reported on March 11, according to police. The theft occurred sometime in the past six months, police said. There were no signs of force.

Additionally, an iPhone was stolen from a bench in the locker room of LA Fitness at about 2:25 p.m. March 18. The phone was recovered behind after being located through the phone’s tracking device, police said. The phone had been wiped down and there were no fingerprints, police said.
