$49,000 in Watches Taken in Wynnewood Burglary

The owners were away on vacation, police said.

Three watches, worth a total of $49,000, were among the items stolen in an Indian Creek Estates burglary March 20, Lower Merion police said in a Monday briefing. 

At 11:56 a.m. on March 20, police responded to an alarm activation on the 700 block of Periwinkle Lane in Wynnewood’s Indian Creek Estates.  Police found the rear basement door forced open and ransacking in the master bedroom of the home, whose owners were on vacation.

According to the police report, the items taken include:

  • An 18-carat gold men’s Rolex watch, with diamond bezel face, worth $30,000
  • A 14-carat gold men’s Bulgari watch with black rubber wristband, worth $10,000
  • A Ulysse Nardin watch worth $9,000
  • A $150 Olympus camera
