2 Teens Charged in Bala Cynwyd BB Gun Stickup

The victim, a 22-year-old Philadelphia woman, was uninjured, police say.

Two Philadelphia teenagers were arrested in Bala Cynwyd on Wednesday after threatening a woman with a BB gun and trying to rob her, according to Lower Merion police.

An unidentified 16-year-old boy is being held at Montgomery County Prison and is to be charged as an adult, while another boy, 14, is being held at the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

Police believe the pair confronted a 22-year-old Philadelphia woman just before 5 p.m., when she got off a SEPTA bus at Old Lancaster and Gramercy roads in Bala Cynwyd, said Tom Walsh, Lower Merion's public information officer.
