Shop For a Cause During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month with local shopping.

For those of you who didn't already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Having friends and family who have been afflicted with cancer, I know the importance of donating money, time, services, etc. to make someone's life better and further research for a cure.

Advocates and fundraisers for breast cancer prevention, treatment and research have been very successful at bringing the disease out of the closet and into the world of retail—making it almost impossible not to donate! There are so many products for sale online, in the malls and, best of all, in our own neighborhood where at least a portion of the sale goes directly to breast cancer organizations.

As you may know, everyday as part of my job, I am in and out of several of the retail stores in our neighborhood. On a typical day I love helping a client find something that makes her feel and look great—but during October I am also always on the lookout for products I can buy that give to breast cancer causes.
