Viewfinder: Merion Friends Meeting House

Check out Merion's historical treasure.

This week, Viewfinder focuses on a piece of history located in Merion at the corner of Montgomery Avenue and Meetinghouse Lane.

Merion Friends Meeting House was built in 1695 and enlarged in 1714.  Built by Welsh craftsmen, the building has been in continuous use since it was built.  It has been designated as a National Historic Landmark by the National Parks Service.

The Meeting House is a perfect example of simple elegance.  Our photos will tell the rest of the story.
