The Week Ahead: 5 Things To Know

A heads up for those who live or work in Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford.

  1. The monthly ArdWood Civic Association will be held Tuesday night at 7:15, at the (at the intersection of Linwood and Athens). Representatives of Main Line Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will be presenting their plans and project proposal for the site.
  2. Schuylkill Expressway bridge cleanings will cause lane closures Tuesday through Wednesday, according to PennDOT. On Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the left eastbound lane is scheduled to be closed between King of Prussia and City Avenue, and on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the left westbound lane will be closed over the same stretch.
  3. Lower Merion's Zoning Hearing Board will meet Thursday night at 7 p.m. St. Joseph's University will be presenting a set of appeals with the goal of obtaining permission to hold basketball and tennis camps this summer. 
  4. First Friday Main Line will host its annual dance-focused Friday night event in downtown Ardmore from 6 to 10 p.m. this Friday. Check the FFML website for more details, and check back later this week for a preview on Patch.
  5. Both Lower Merion School District high schools are having proms at 7 p.m. Saturday—'s at the Constitution Center by Independence Mall, 's at the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park.
