Recycle Electronics At Whole Foods, Sept. 8

Can't figure out what to do with that old television, air conditioner, computer monitor or toaster oven?

The will take your trash for free, at next Saturday's electronic recycling event, to be held Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to a press release, the store will accept anything with a plug.

Individuals and small businesses (less than 50 employees) are welcome to participate, the release reads.

Acceptable items include:

• Computers
• Monitors
• Printers
• Air-conditioners
• Computer accessories
• Household appliances

eForce Compliance, the company who will collect the waste, will ensure that all materials are responsibly recycled, the press release states. It continues:

All material collected will be responsibly recycled by eForce Compliance, who maintains a zero landfill policy and zero export of hazardous e-waste to developing countries. eForce is Pennsylvania's only multi-certified electronic recycling company (R2, e-Stewards, ISO 14011) and assures all data media will be destroyed or wiped at their facility.

At an electronics recycling event in February, . More than 100,000 pounds of electronics were collected at Whole Foods stores across the region. It was the largest collection event held by Whole Foods Market in the Tri-State to date, according to the company.

The Wynnewood Whole Foods is located at 339 E Lancaster Ave. in Wynnewood. Residents can drop off electronics on Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
