Get Out: Halloween Weekend

What's going on in the Ardmore Patch area this weekend.

It's all about Halloween this weekend in Ardmore, both for adults and kids. Families can head to Linwood Park's Jack O'Lantern Lighting on Saturday night, or to Bryn Mawr Film Institute to watch "Hocus Pocus" on Saturday morning. For a more mature audience, Brownies is hosting a Halloween party on Saturday night with cash prizes for best costume in a variety of categories. Not into the Halloween thing? Check out Julie Fowlis, a Celtic musician playing at Bryn Mawr College on Friday night.

  • When/Where: Saturday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. at Linwood Park, 94 Linwood Ave.
  • Why Go: Bring your already carved jack o' lantern and help light up the Wall at Linwood Park! Lighting will be at sunset (around 6 p.m.) but come early to enjoy some hot apple cider and the fall colors of the park. Costumes always welcome! We will have extra candles to light up the eve. There will also be a good old fashioned Spooky Path (not too spooky!) around the walking path. So prepare to be scared!
