Wind Advisory: Expect Gusts Over 40 mph

Tuesday could be cold, wet and windy, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast calls for a cold, wet and windy Tuesday, with high winds causing a blustery Tuesday afternoon. Gusts are predicted to be over 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the area, in effect from 9 a.m. t0 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The advisory predicts sustained winds over 30 mph, and gusts of strong wind throughout the day.

The forecast also calls for a very slight chance of snow or rain in the afternoon, with no accumulation. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Temperatures are predicted between a high of 38 degrees throughout the day, falling to around 28 degrees by 5 p.m.

Residents might want to head indoors for good in the evening, with the temperature dropping to a low of 11, a wind chill around zero degrees and gusts of wind over 30 mph.
