Update: NWS Predicts Light Snow Through Wednesday Night

The NWS is calling for an inch, maybe two.

Update: The National Weather Service is predicting that snow will hit the Lower Merion area between 3 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Accumulation is not expected to exceed 1 inch and any snowfall is predicted to end "quickly after 9 p.m.," according to reports.

There is a chance of rain, changing to a mix with snow in the mid-afternoon before all snow takes over after 3 p.m., according to the NWS forecast.

The NWS says the chance of precipitation is 70 percent, with possible accumulation totals of less than one inch.

The chance of snow Wednesday night dwindles to 40 percent. New accumulation is expected to be, again, less than an inch.
