Main Line Health to Host Concussion Symposium at Lankenau Medical Center

Main Line Health is hosting a concussion symposium on Thursday, October 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Lankenau Medical Center (Annenberg Conference Center, 100 East Lancaster Ave., Wynnewood, PA 19096). The symposium will take an in-depth look at the latest concussion recommendations, including:

· The prevention of concussions and mild head injuries in adolescents and adults

· How to recognize the warning signs that indicate a concussion/mild head injury has occurred

· How to determine when it is appropriate to return to school, work or play

Who should attend? School administrators, sports administrators, athletic directors, coaches, referees, trainers, school sports team physicians, as well as school physicians, nurses, and guidance counselors. 

Keynote speaker: Phil Martelli, head coach of St Joseph's University men's basketball. Panel members will include physicians, neuropsychologists, and Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital clinical specialists.
