Mildred: I actually emailed Barnes and Noble several months ago, telling them that Borders had recently vacated our area and that there was now no major book store in the affluent Main Line area. I asked them if they had plans to open a new store in our area, since the closest one is either Upenn or Broomall. They responded that they have no plans to open any new stores in our area, unfortunately. Oh well. Otherwise, the LA Fitness doesn't seem like a bad idea, honestly.

With an already expensive LA Fitness in BC and an expensive PSC in ardmore is this really necessary? Something like a Dicks sporting goods or H & M type clothing store would be nice. AC Moore, bass pro shops, chik fil a, and pep boys belong in a Walmart shopping center.

Brian, with all the eateries in the Wynnewood Shopping Center, LA Fitness is an EXCELLENT idea. LOL

Wine and Spirits superstore I live in the apartments right next door, and pretty much NEVER need to use my car for errands because of the shopping center... EXCEPT to get wine! The liquor stores in Ardmore, Narberth, and Bryn Mawr have terrible parking ;-)

I'd love to see a bookstore move back in, too.

Seems fitting to open a large chain fitness store. With Planet Fitness in Ardmore, this should work well to run all the local independent gyms out of business.

I like the LA Fitness idea but am concerned with the intent to make it into a 24 hour facility. "Walking" to the fitness center seems like a great idea.

I'm sure the LMPD would love the added calls resulting from a 24-hour establishment in that neighborhood.....NOT!

L A fitness would be awesome there. It will not be a 24 hour facility. You can walk to the gym and visit with neighborhood peeps! Fingers crossed!
