Weekend Guide: Arts, Music and a Birthday

A series of events happening near you this weekend.

Looking for something to do in the Greater Philadelphia area? Use this guide as a primer to the weekend of June 24.

Where: Forrest Avenue in downtown Narberth
When: Sunday, June 24, from 2 to 7 p.m.

What: The Narberth Summer Music and Arts Festival will feature live music from bands like Tatter Tucker and Moog, the Zing Kings and the Tonebenders, as well as an artist's section featuring local jewlery, crafts and businessses. Admission is free but, since the event will benefit Philabundance, donations are appreciated. Read more about the event here.

Where: Main Street, Manayunk
When: Saturday, June 23, 11 a.m.

What: Over the course of two days, artists from as many as 22 states bring the culture of arts and crafts to collectors, buyers and designers for the 23rd year in a row. Graciously hosted by the shops, restaurants, and businesses of historic Manayunk, you are invited to join us in building a tradition of excellence. The event is free to attend.

Where: the Berwyn Fire Company, Berwyn
When: Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What: Community organizations including T&E Care, FLITE, Berwyn Veterans, Tredyffrin Township Police, Berwyn Fire Company will be represented with information about services they offer and opportunities to pitch in and help. We'll also have some delicious goodies from local small businesses with a heart for TE, including Sweet Jazmines Pastry Shop. TE Patch Editor Bob Byrne and other Patchers will also be there to show you, your organization, or local small business how Patch can help you spread the word about your event, accomplishment, business or need.
