Tired Hands Among '10 Breweries About To Blow Up'

Tired Hands Brewery in Ardmore was recently named by Food Republic as one of 10 Breweries About To Blow Up In 2013.

Food Republic, which bills itself as "the site for men who want to eat and drink well, and to live smart," includes nine other breweries located across the country. Tired Hands is the only Pennsylvania brewery on the list.

Innovation is part of what sets Tired Hands apart, Food Republic writer Jonathan Katz says: "The limited output makes this a worthy destination for their famed beer dinners, but look no further than their beer for innovative food use."

Tired Hands Brewing Co., owned by former Iron Hill brewer Jean Broillet, opened in June at 16 Ardmore Ave.

A new beer on tap now, as per the Tired Hands website, is Ancient Knovvledge, an Asian-inspired saison: "Brewed with rye and Amarillo hops. Spiced with black & white sesame seeds, nori, hemp seeds, Satsuma tangerines, long red hot peppers, and Schezuan peppercorns."

Food Republic's accolades come on the heels of RateBeer's naming of Tired Hands to their list of the five Best New Brewers in the World.  Tired Hands clocks in at number two, behind Chicago's Pipeworks Brewing Company.

Tired Hands is located at 16 Ardmore Avenue in Ardmore and is open beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
