Fans of Ardmore's had cause to rejoice Thursday, when owners Zhen and Jin Ding officially opened the doors to their .

Golden Bowl will serve as a sister restaurant to Golden China, which is located just a few buildings down on Rittenhouse Place in Ardmore. While Golden China is primarily a takeout and delivery restaurant, Golden Bowl will focus on dine-in meals, with seating available for at least 50.

The new restaurant has been "coming soon" for quite some time, and work began on the restaurant more than two years ago, Ding said. The cause for the delay was mostly due to the architect's slow work schedule, according to Ding.

As part of the grand opening on Thursday, patrons could stop by the restaurant and sample a variety of menu items, such as fried rice, dumplings, and pork buns.

The opening, Ding said on Thursday, "has been good—it's been perfect. Lots of people came, and many of our customers from our other restaurant came out too. It's definitely a success."

Golden Bowl is located at 33 Rittenhouse Place, Ardmore.

According to Ding, the hours will be:

• Monday through Thursday: 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sunday: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
