New 'Hip' Eyewear Shop To Open in Ardmore

SEE Eyewear will be opening its doors to the Suburban Square shopping complex soon.

"Hip without the rip," is the motto of a new eyewear shop coming to Suburban Square. The new shop is called SEE Eyewear and the Suburban Square location will be its only Pennsylvania location, according to SEE Eyewear's website.

The name, SEE, stands for Selective Eyewear Elements, and the business plans to open its doors to the public sometime in mid-July, according to Racked Philly.

SEE Eyewear's concept is the following, according to its Facebook page:

A fashion optical visionary had an idea. To create a prototype optical boutique with the mission of changing the rules forever by making the purchase of “cool” eyewear a true fun and economically correct experience.

The mission was set: tap the best frame houses and create a new line, not from a single point of view, but from Europe’s top creative talents and then assemble a highly edited assortment of the best of the best made exclusively for SEE. No other store in American has ever done this. These direct relationships eliminate the exorbitant add-on costs that have made high-end eyewear almost absurd to the consumer.

The store design was then created to give patrons a warm and inviting environment, where also for the first time, all eyewear is displayed freely and openly, so customers can access one of a kind product on their own.

Thus, the SEE store was created, not motivated by financial gain, but rather to fulfill a visionary’s personal dream….to offer the fashion hungry consumer the first legitimate value on an edited selection of “cool” with the ultimate goal of changing the fashion eyewear industry rules forever.

SEE Eyewear is one of the three shops still anticipated to come in to the Suburban Square—the other shops include Clarks and Jack Wills, according to Suburban Square's website.
