Moms Restaurant Roundup: Local Fare From Greece, Poland, France and More

Patch reviews McCloskey's Tavern, Lourdas Greek Taverna, King's Garden Chinese Restaurant, Tiffin Kitchen, Food for All, The New Tavern, Pierogie Kitchen and Aux Petits Delices

Looking for a restaurant that is family friendly? This week, Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood Patch reviewed  on how kid-friendly it is. An unofficial kids menu includes favorites like chicken fingers and pasta. For something healthier, maybe order an entrée salad and split it between the kids. Click for the review.

This weekend, Patch has reviews of restaurants around the area. Find out which ones have kids’ menus and which ones are paying the most attention to food allergies.

Spanikopites are a delicious way to get your kids to eat spinach. The flaming cheese will delight everyone and the grilled meats cooked with minimal fat are a heart-healthy way to get more protein. Click for the review.

Chinese food is usually a crowd pleaser for those aged 5-95. The menu here offers something for everyone in the family. Our junior reviewers really enjoyed the “seafood in flower basket”. Click for the review.

Grilled meats, plenty of vegetarian items and freshly baked breads are what make this place so great. Your kids will love the vegetable samosas while the adults can have some spicy vindaloo. Click for the review.

Food for All is an allergen-free paradise. Moms who have a difficult time finding gluten-free, dairy-free, corn-free, soy-free, and whatever else will find a dietary Eden in this neighborhood market. Most of the items are organic, whole-grain or preservative free. Click for the review.

Although they do have a kids menu, this tavern also has happy hours. There may be kid-friendly food, but avoid dining here when there are crowds of drinking adults. Click for the review.

Pierogies are just fun, and there are more than a dozen varieties here. While the baked potato pierogie is delicious and kid-friendly, it’s probably not the healthiest. Click for the review.

Handmade French delights by a master pastry chef are available in your neighborhood. The gorgeous chocolate animals (which will wow your kids), flaky croissants and foie gras are the highlights of this shop for me. Click for the review.
