Lululemon Squeezes Into Suburban Square

The yoga-inspired athletic apparel company will open before the holiday season in Ardmore.

When life gives you lemons, sign a lease with them.

At least, that seems to be the philosophy of Kimco Realty, the owner of in Ardmore. Specialty apparel company Lululemon Athletica will be moving into the old Seidenberg Luggage space across from , and should open before the holiday season, according to Mark Bachus, Suburban Square general manager.

It's a welcome piece of news following on Saturday, which brought the number of vacancies in the shopping center up to 10.

Now, the center's vacancy count is back down to single digits, and several other leases are in the works, Bachus said.

Lululemon is a luxury women's athletic apparel company, based in Canada, with approximately 180 stores, according to the company's Q1 fiscal report. There are five Lululemon locations in Pennsylvania, including stores in King of Prussia, Philadelphia and Wayne.

"We’re very excited about Lululemon," Bachus said. "They have some great stores and we’re looking forward to them moving to Suburban Square."
