Kids Eat Local: Ruby's Diner

Find out how kid-friendly Ruby's Diner in Ardmore is.

We know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Ruby's Diner is a good place to eat with your children.

Is there a kids’ menu? Yes, for both breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu includes pigs in a blanket, silver dollar pancakes, french toast and a combo with eggs, toast and bacon or sausage. At lunch and dinner the menu has macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers, burgers, turkey burger, peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, turkey corn dogs and grilled chicken breast. All the items come with french fries or sliced apples.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The combo at breakfast is a great source of protein. The turkey burger, turkey corn dog or grilled chicken breast with apples all make healthy meals.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert your server and they will try to accommodate you as best they can.

Is there a diaper changing station? Yes.

How difficult is it to maneuver a stroller through the dining area? Not too difficult.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Children and babies are more than welcome. The kids' activity sheets are wonderful. My young cousins loved the 3-D train set, although they were somewhat difficult for kids to assemble.
