Home Sales, Prices Decrease in June in Ardmore, Wynnewood

Home sales and prices in Lower Merion, in general, both rose.

Lower Merion saw home sales and prices rise in June, according to statistics from Prudential Fox Roach, though the median price of a home sold in Ardmore, Merion and Wynnewood decreased from the same month last year.

Eleven houses sold in Ardmore in June, down from 17 in May and 14 in June 2011. The average sale price was $266,616, down from $362,971 in May and $350,028 last June.

In Wynnewood, 14 homes sold in June, down from 25 in May and 21 in June 2011. The average sale price of $431,357 was down from $464,898 in May and $455,404 last June.

Merion Station saw one home sell in June, down from four in May and seven in June 2011. The sale price was $310,515, down from $487,998 in May and from $577,700 last June.

Throughout Lower Merion, 100 houses sold in June, up from 88 in May and 90 in June 2011. The $524,500 median sale price was up significantly over the $414,500 of June 2011 but down slightly to the $537,500 of May.
