November First Friday in Ardmore, Hosted by 'Oogy'

It was a brisk but intimate evening for First Friday.

First Friday Main Line's November event went indoors Friday night, but there were plenty of shoppers and browsers out and about on Lancaster Avenue as an autumn chill filled the air. Various shops and restaurants featured works on display for an Emerging Artists Show. 

But inside the , one of the prettiest, nicest dogs you ever did meet held court with his master, author Larry Levin, who wrote an eponymous book about the "puppy brought back from the brink of death" by the staff of the Ardmore Animal Hospital. Levin was on hand to sign copies of the book, which benefitted FFML.

Outside , Dr. Rich Russell continued what has become a regular gig, playing his collection of saxophones and a steel drum. Over at , shoppers chatted with owner and FFML Executive Director Sherry Tillman while listening to the up sounds of Silver Wind (the duo is part of a group of musicians that produced "Peace On Your Way," a holiday-themed CD that benefits the PA Breast Cancer Coalition).  

At Calliope, the Philly Saxophone Quartet played selections from their CD, "Shades of Swing," to an appreciative audience, warmed with complimentary coffee and sweets.

And over at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church, a good old-fashioned spaghetti dinner brought friends and neighbors together to raise dough for LMVUE.org (Lower Merion Voices United for Equity in Education). 

There were also FFML events going on in Haverford at the , and in Bryn Mawr at Bubbles For Hair.
