Firinji Needs Your Help To Get Grant

Firinji, an Ardmore restaurant, wants to apply for a Chase and Living Social small business grant.

Budo Bunul, the owner of Firinji restaurant in Ardmore, needs your vote before June 30 to help the restaurant become eligible for a small business grant. As of Thursday afternoon, Firinji needs 98 more votes to be eligible for a grant.

is a fairly recent addition to the Ardmore community. It , and since that time, has taken part in about 217 community events, fundraisers and causes, according to Bunul.

"At Firinji, we simply want to be a community-driven everyday place," Bunul wrote in his grant application.

At this year's Foodapalooza event, out of more than a dozen restaurants competing to be named the place with the top dish, including local favorites A La Maison and Carlino's.

How You Can Help

Chase and Living Social are awarding twelve $250,000 grants to small businesses, and Firinji wants to apply.

If awarded the grant, Bunul wrote in his application, $70,000 would be used to upgrade the restaurant's equipment/machinery, and about $166,000 would be put toward "enhancing and building [the] Firinji brand" and opening a second Firinji location. 

In order to be eligible to apply, a company needs to receive 250 votes.  Each voter needs to have a Facebook account.  The voting process takes about 10 seconds. You have to vote before Saturday, June 30.

3. Search for "Firinji" in the search field (you may need to scroll down to see the search field) and click on VOTE.
