Young Artists to Show Work at Main Line Art Center Friday

Interested? Young artists ages 21-35 can still sign up to show and sell their work on Friday.

This Friday, invites young local artists to show and sell their work for a one-night-only event. The "One Night Stand" features work from local artists ages 21 to 35, and all the work is priced under $350.

And if you're a young artist, read on: spots are still available, and walk-ins will even be accepted the night of, space permitting. Artists keep 100 percent of the commissions.

Friday's event, which is free and open to the public, will feature live music, refreshments, and a BBQ cookout (for an additional fee).

“One Night Stand is an amazing opportunity for the community to see what’s happening in the local art scene right now,” Judy Herman, Main Line Art Center executive director, said in a press release. “Many of these young artists are beginning their careers, and we’re thrilled to give them a venue to show their work."

Young artists—including photographers, painters, potters, jewelers and mixed media artists, ages 21 to 35—are encouraged to sign up to be a part of One Night Stand. The cost to participate is free for Main Line Art Center members, and $15 for non-members. The cost for walk-ins is $20. Interested participants should visit www.mainlineart.org or call 610-525-0272 to purchase a spot.

For those interested in attending, the event is free, and runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at Main Line Art Center, 746 Panmure Road in Haverford.
