Video: Trailer For Haverford Native's Film 'Backwards'

"Backwards" is an indie drama that Haverford native Sarah Megan Thomas wrote, produced, and co-stars in.

Remember last summer when there were in town? Those scenes, shot at the Haverford Train Station, the Shipley School and other local sites, form part of the backdrop for .

The film, which Thomas wrote, produced, and co-starred in, centers on the life of a female rower (Thomas) who has just failed to make the Olympic team and becomes a girls' high school coach. 

Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek stars as Thomas's love interest, and the film also stars Margaret Colin of Gossip Girl, Wynn Everett, and Sideways supporting actress Alysia Reiner.

Aside from the Lower Merion locales, the film also features the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Boathouse Row as backdrops.
