New York Polyphony Concert

With a “rich, natural sound that’s larger and more complex than the sum of its parts,” as noted by NPR, the classical male vocal quartet New York Polyphony is establishing itself as one of the most highly regarded chamber ensembles in the world.

The group will bring its wide range of vocal styles to Friends’ Central School for a performance on Monday, May 7 at 7:00 pm at the School’s Shallcross Hall. The event is free and open to the public, as part of Friends’ Central’s new Artists in Residence Program.

“I am delighted to welcome New York Polyphony to Friends' Central School as our first Artists in Residence,” says Friends’ Central Choral director Michelle Zuckman. “New York Polyphony is a stellar classical a cappella quartet. I greatly look forward to having them share their artistry with our music students and the broader community, and I am thankful for the generosity of Friends' Central alumni/ae and their families.”
