Calliope Music presents Pianist Ethan Lee 2010 winner of Albert M Greenfield Student Competition

We are delighted to have 8th grader, Ethan, playing Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue, two Debussy Preludes nos 3 and 7, and Prokofiev’s Sonata No 3 as a taster for his March 24 upcoming performance with the Philadelphia Orchestra concert – the prize for winning the Greenfield award. At age 6, he started studying with Elena Berman-Gantard at the Nelly Berman School and is currently studying with Igor Resnianski. He has won numerous awards at the Tri-County Youth Festival, West Chester University Piano Competition and Golden Key Festival. Other accomplishments include performances at the Kimmel Center and Steinway Hall. In addition to solo performances, he enjoys performing in piano duets, trios, and ensembles with friends and family. At school, Ethan plays saxophone and piano with the concert band and jazz band. As well as being an avid reader he also loves team sports and plays basketball and soccer at Radnor. In the summer he serves as a junior counselor at Camp Little Bear from Church of the Saviour where he helps shepherd the 3 year old children. All in all a great kid!
