A Thanksgiving Tribute to Native Americans

The Department of Music presents a Colloquium with Emanuele Arciuli, piano, and Curt Cacioppo in MacCrate Recital Hall, Union.

On Monday, November 21 at 4:15 PM, pianist Emanuele Arciuli and composer Curt Cacioppo offer a colloquium celebrating the art and music of Native Americans past and present, as a Thanksgiving tribute to first peoples of North America. The art of the Anasazi and pueblo cultures will be presented along with contemporary examples by Kevin Red Star and others, and traditional songs will be heard side by side current day crossover music by Taos flutist Robert Mirabal and a host of other tribal talents. This event will be held in MacCrate Recital Hall, Union, and is free and open to the public.
