Clover Market Day Draws Thousands to Ardmore

The weather held out for the first Clover Market Day of 2011, the second year for the event.

The skies were cloudy but the rain held off in downtown Ardmore Sunday, as the first Clover Market Day of the year took place with 50 vendors, about twice the number from last year’s events.

The event’s organizer, Ardmore resident Janet Long, describes it as “an upscale vintage outdoor market … featuring original art, antiques, vintage jewelry and clothing, artisan crafts, and handmade items.”

The Clover Market is held at the plaza and municipal parking lot between Cricket Avenue and Rittenhouse Place, one Sunday each month in the spring and fall, with upcoming spring dates of May 1 and June 5.

The markets are always rain or shine. Fall dates have yet to be announced.
