Roadwork Continues Until Aug. 3

The Ardmore Avenue and Wynnewood Road repaving and curb reconstruction should be completed by next Friday, a PennDOT representative said.

The repaving work on Ardmore Avenue and Wynnewood Road is behind schedule, but should be completed by Aug. 3, according to Charlie Metzger, community relations coordinator for PennDOT.

The roads will be repaved and curbs reconstructed to comply with new ADA regulations, Metzger said.

The work was originally scheduled to be completed by July 20, according to a PennDOT traffic restriction bulletin.

"There was a bit of a delay because the contractor was doing work on Township Line Road and realized there was more work than had been anticipated—there was a water main break," Metzger said. "There was a lot of coordination on that, and it took crews from Ardmore and Wynnewood to get that done."

Both paving and curb cuts are scheduled to be completed by next Friday, Aug. 3. Crews should be returning to continue work on Ardmore Avenue and Wynnewood Road within the next few days, Metzger said. Expect lane closures; traffic will likely be directed by flags.
