Road Closures Announced for U.S. Open
Take a look at which roads will be closed during the US Open in June.
At a Haverford Township Sixth Ward town meeting Wednesday at the Chestnutwold Elementary School, police presented plans for neighborhood road closures and restrictions that will be in place during the U.S. Open from June 10-16 (a rain delay make-up day would be Monday the 17th).

Because actually closing major streets require the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to sign off, that information is now in place. The map attached to this article shows which roads will be closed during golf action and which roads will be closed down during the duration of the Open in Haverford Township.

Plans in Lower Merion Township
Lower Merion roadways will have increased traffic due to Haverford Township road closures, Lower Merion Township spokesperson Tom Walsh said. In particular, Haverford Road, Montgomery Avenue, Lancaster Avenue, E Wynnewood Road and Ardmore Avenue are likely to see increased congestion. Any changes or updates will be posted on the township website, via Twitter, and on LMTV (Ch. 7 Comcast; 37 Verizon).
