Corner Bakery Cafe Supports Rosie's Senior Jamboree

Corner Bakery Cafe of Suburban Square, Ardmore hosted a table to support Rosie’s Senior Jamboree  this past Wedneday, July 17. Around 65 people attended the event where Corner Bakery gave out bottled water and treats to the seniors and volunteers.  Attendees also participated in games to win coupon prizes.

Rosie's Senior Jamboree provides the Lower Merion Township Department of Parks and Recreation its summer camp staff and many volunteers with an opportunity to give back to the Township's senior citizens. For over 30 years, summer camp staff and volunteers led by longtime, beloved Recreation Department employee Rosie Riley have cooked a picnic lunch for the Township's seniors. Rosie passed away in 2010, but her spirit lives on in the Jamboree that was renamed in her honor.
