Villanova Lecture: On Wednesday, November 20, 2013, 10:30 AM at Villanova University, Falvey Memorial Library, rm. 205, there will be a lecture. Scholarship@Villanova/Endowed Chair and Professorship lecture by Cristina Soriano, PhD, holder of the Albert R. LePage Endowed Professorship, assistant professor in the Department of History. Dr. Soriano’s talk, The Revolutionary Contagion: Pamphlets, Rumors, and Conspiracies in Venezuela during the Age of Revolutions, will analyze the complex connections between plebeian literacy practices, webs of circulation of information, and the emergence of social networks for political mobilization in colonial Venezuela.
Open Mic: There will be an Open Mic at Fabio & Danny's Station Cafe located at 60 N. Bryn Mawr Ave, Bryn Mawr on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to share their talents.
