The Jim McCaffrey Fundraiser
Former native son Jim McCaffrey, who for 22 years covered news up and down the Main Line and in Philadelphia via the Main Line Times, Suburban & Wayne Times, Main Line Life, and The Bulletin, is facing a serious health crisis.
He has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and requires a bone marrow transplant.
His friends are hosting a fundraiser to help him with his expenses, as he will be unable to work for a year following treatment.
Come enjoy music with DJ Kevin Murphy (Splintered Sunlight begins at 10 p.m.), delicious food from area restaurants/businesses, and discounted drinks. $20/person at the door (cash or check, please), 21 and over.

Established in 1983, Brownies 23 East is a live music venue and night spot that features drink specials, live music and more. It features the area's most popular bands and DJs, and hosts its widely recognized Wednesday Sink or Swim, Zumba every Thursday from 6pm to 7pm, Latin Night the first Thursday of every month at 8pm with lessons for approximiately a half hour followed by dancing and Friday happy hour specials which include .50 Drafts, $1.50 drinks and free buffet with live music and more.
