Topic: Prostate Health. Are Herbal Supplements of
Benefit?

Dr. Stearns, an international expert on prostate
cancer, will lead discussions on the benefits of herbal supplements for improving prostate health, including benign prostate hyperplasia, prostatitis, prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and prostate cancer. Specifically, he will address how different mineral supplements,
nutrition and herbal supplements such as Saw Palmetto, Nettle, Green Tea, Pygeum Bark, and Quercetin are beneficial in maintaining a healthy prostate.
Specific interests and needs of individuals will be addressed after the presentation.

Where: Herbalishous Tea Room, 226 E. Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA, 19087.

When: Monday evenings, 5-7 P.M.-Monthly starting
March 26th.

Dr. Stearns retired from a long career as an NIH
funded research scientist at Georgetown University, the Fox Chase Cancer Center and Drexel University College of Medicine. He spent the majority of his career working the effects of herbal supplements (i.e. taxol, EGCG, DHEA, genestein, retinoic acid) on prostate cancer. He has published over 100 peer reviewed manuscripts in first class journals and has over 200 abstracts and reviews published. He is internationally recognized as a leader in his field and is widely sought after to give talks and organize symposia on prostate cancer. He lives in Villanova, PA with a wife, 2 dogs, 2 girls and a loving Mother-in-Law.
