Duane Large is active as a performer in nearly every style of music on guitar, mandolin, lute, bass, piano, and percussion. He is also an educator and a scholar. He has appeared with The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Royal Ballet while performing and recording solo or with The Philmore Ensemble. We are pleased to have him in our store as a guitarist, lutist, mandolin player and composer/arranger. You will love hearing his version of “Peter and the Wolf” for guitar and narrator – narrator for this performance is Julia (store owner). More About Calliope Music
Calliope Music underwent a name change with new owners Julia and George Chukinas in April 2009. The former Delaware Valley Music shop is packed with instruction books and sheet music for piano, woodwinds, guitar, brass and strings. Calliope Music also offers instrument rentals for school music lessons and private instruction for musicians of all ages and skill levels.
