DESCRIPTION:Four of our favorite picture book creators will be making the
ir way from Brooklyn to Children's Book World for an afternoon of fun a
nd enjoyment.&nbsp\; Create your own fun with arts and crafts activitie
s while you meet the fab four from Brooklyn.\nCREEPY CARROTS - We are ri
diculously excited to have Peter Brown back again! Peter is the author
and illustrator of some of our favorite books: The Curious Garden\, Ch
ildren Make Terrible Pets and Will You Be Me Friend?. This time around
Peter will be showing us his latest book CREEPY CARROTS which is sure
to become a family favorite (it is with our families!) "The Twilight Z
one" comes to the carrot patch in this clever picture book parable abou
t a rabbit who fears his favorite treats are out to get him.\nBIG MEAN
MIKE - Our staff squealed when they heard Michelle would be back again.
And not just because we adore her (and her classic Library Lion) but
her new book BIG MEAN MIKE has been entertaining everyone who picks it
up! Mike is proud to be the biggest\, toughest dog in the neighborhoo
d\, so when tiny\, fuzzy bunnies start showing up in his big\, mean car
he sees them only as a threat to his reputation\, no matter how adorab
le they are.\nMOONSHOT - We have been hoping one day Brian Floca would
visit our store and now the time has come. Brianis the author and illu
strator of Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11\, Lightship\, and The Racec
ar Alphabet. He is the illustrator of the popular Poppy series\, by Avi\
, and most recently\, Marty McGuire Digs Worms!\, by Kate Messner. Balle
t for Martha is simply gorgeous and a staff favorite.\nINFINITY AND ME -
Kate Hosford is new to our store but not to our bookshelves. We've bee
n BIG fans of Big Bouffant and Big Birthdayand were delighted when Kate
's new book INFINITY AND ME arrived this summer. Uma can't help feelin
g small when she peers up at the night sky. She begins to wonder about
infinity. Is infinity a number that grows forever? Is it an endless rac
etrack? Could infinity be in an ice cream cone? Uma soon finds that the
ways to think about this big idea may just be...infinite.\nBooks are a
vailable for purchase if you would like them to be signed by the authors
