Brothers Sean and Eric O'Brien, of Wynnewood, have both recently received distinctions in their higher education career. Sean O'Brien of Wynnewood, a 2009 graduate of Friends' Central School, has been named to the Dean's list for Spring 2012 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester Massachusetts. Sean is a dual major in computer science and music. Eric O'Brien of Wynnewood, also a 2009 Friends' Central School graduate, won first place in a computer hackathon hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in January. Danielle Szulanski of Wynnewood, has been named to the Nazareth College’s dean's list for the Spring 2012 semester.Szulanski has earned dean’s list recognition each semester for the past three years.A student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth.

Saint Joseph's University's Beta Gamma Sigma chapter inducted Wynnewood resident Jian Xi into its honor society during a ceremony on April 20. Saint Joseph's University's student chapter has also been recognized with the society's 2012 Gold Chapter Award, competing against 504 chapters from around the globe. Sixty-five students from Delaware County Community College (DCCC) were recently named in the 2011-12 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges, two of whom hail from our Patch. Chance Ferris of Ardmore and Sarah Edelstein of Wynnewood were among those named to this year's Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. Cornell University's Esther Hoffman, of Wynnewood; Matthew Clauson, also of Wynnewood; and Connor Archard, of Ardmore, have been placed on the Dean's List of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the Fall 2011 semester. The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University's largest undergraduate college. It provides a high-quality liberal arts education to its own students, and its courses are also accessible to all other students at Cornell. The college's faculty includes national and international leaders in their respective disciplines.
Marlee Madora of Wynnewood, daughter of Cheryl Diamond of Wynnewood, and David Madora of Lower Merion, was named to the Dean's List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., for the 2011 fall semester. Also named to Emory's fall Dean's List was Yuncen He of King of Prussia, son of Kai-Fen Wang of Wynnewood, and Kuang-Lin He of Wynnewood. Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.81 grade point average or higher to be named to the Dean's List.
Nolan Grady, a resident of Wynnewood has earned placement on the Gonzaga University Dean's List for fall semester 2011. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.69 grade-point average to be listed. Grady earned a spot on the Gonzaga University President's List for spring semester 2011. Students must earn a 3.70 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed.
Anneke Kat of Wynnewood, has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2011 semester. Kat also earned second honors in the spring 2011 semester. To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79, of a maximum of 4.3.

Mike Brown, a college senior from Wynnewood, has been named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall semester.
