Yeah, yeah, I know I haven't blogged since June.  Try having an operation on your elbow, wearing a sling and doing everything with your left hand when you're right-handed.  Well, it sucks.

But I've been watching the lot at Ardmore Avenue and Lancaster Avenue daily. 

It's nice to see someone (a disciple?) has stepped in to build and re-build the rock sculpture using the large, heavy, granite rocks I left, as well as whatever smaller stones he/she can find.  Initially, the sculpture was just the three large rocks placed one upon another.  Over time the quality of the sculpture has evolved into a more artistic work. 

Maybe it's not the same person or maybe the person has learned from his/her earlier efforts.  The picture below shows what it looked like yesterday morning.  Unfortunately, when I passed by it today, it had been knocked down.  (Been there - seen that.) 

And though I've been disabled by this elbow surgery, I built a sculpture in my drive-way single-handed (literally).  It's not the intricate, complex structure that I had made in Ardmore, but it gave me a feeling of satisfaction.  I'm sure my orthopedic  surgeon would have a fit if he knew, but who could possibly tell him?

Wonder what would happen if I do get the OK to continue building rock sculptures.  Have I relinquished all rights to the Ardmore Avenue site?  If I returned with my own rocks, would re-building the sculpture become a mutual collaboration?  I'll just have to take things one rock at a time.
