Narberth Rugby Football Club Tackles Hurricane Sandy
The Narberth Rugby Football Club, a local youth rugby program, came together with the communities of the Main Line in order to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The club organized a winter clothing drive on November 17th at the Narberth Borough Hall and the community responded in kind with overwhelming donations. Over three hundred bags of clothing and baby items were sorted and organized for delivery to Staten Island, NY.
The young men, coaches, and families of the club spent Saturday and Sunday sorting and organizing hundreds of bags that were donated by community members. The much needed items were delivered on November 20th by the coaches to Staten Island Recovers, a grassroots organization working directly with those people impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
The items were received with great thanks and were immediately distributed to members of the Staten Island community.
The Narberth Rugby Football Club provides the opportunity for young men on the Main Line in high school and middle school to play rugby, the fastest growing sport in the world. We welcome new members.
