Wynnewood Restaurant Vote Postponed
Discussion of the shopping center renovation proposal took close to four hours Wednesday night, but the Board of Commissioners wanted more legal research done before making a decision.

Will Lower Merion approve a plan to replace the former Wynnewood post office with a restaurant space?
Neighboring residents and the Wynnewood Shopping Center developer will wait at least another week to find out, after nearly four hours of debate Wednesday night did not result in a Board of Commissioners vote.
Several residents expressed distaste for the plan, mainly objecting to the prospect of late-night closing times and the outdoor music that applicant Federal Realty sought as an option.
Federal has agreed in principle to curtail its music plans, though representatives reiterated Wednesday that they are not prepared to agree to the 11 p.m. closing time residents want; midnight is the earliest they would consider.
Even if those differences had been settled Wednesday night, township commissioners were not ready to vote on the proposal. They asked solicitor Gil High to peruse zoning code over the next week to determine how the building in question conforms to it.
The next Board of Commissioners meeting is set for 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Maybe they will see the reality of the situation and propose better use for this prime real estate. Or just add parking and make peace until better plans come along. Nobody is crying over this ... Can't make pigs fly.
