What's Open on Veterans Day
The holiday was founded to observe the anniversary of the World War I armistice.
Though Veterans Day is Sunday, Nov. 11 this year, all levels of government in Lower Merion observe it Monday, Nov. 12.
Here are some of the local facilities and services that will be open on Monday for the holiday:
- Lower Merion public schools
- UPS and FedEx
- The Lower Merion Township Administration Building, township treasurer’s office and all Lower Merion and Narberth libraries are open for business on Veterans Day.
- Malls and most retail stores
- The stock market
