Lower Merion police responded to approximately 389 calls the week of Aug. 27 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, only slightly higher than the number of calls for service received the previous week.

Patch also has reported some incidents from the week of Aug. 27 that were relayed in a police briefing.

From Aug. 27 to Sept. 2, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

• Five burglaries: two non-residential burglaries at night, and three residential burglaries
• Seven reports of criminal mischief
• Two incidents of drug possession
• One DUI
• Three fires
• 12 car accidents with property damage
• 10 thefts, including three bicycle thefts
