Township's Budget Q&A Posted Online
A Lower Merion press release has the details about a new feature on the town website.
Residents interested in learning more about the 2011 Proposed Budget can now access a list of over 50 questions and answers that is posted on www.lowermerion.org and is attached to the article in PDF form. This information can be accessed from the home page by following the 2011 Proposed Budget prompt.
"While many of the questions and answers represent a basic overview of information related to the 2011 Proposed Budget, others were specific questions posed by members of the public and members of the Board of Commissioners," said Doug Cleland, Township Manager. "Some of the questions and answers may be duplicative, but our goal was to reflect the original questions posed to Township staff in a format that would follow a progression of themes."
The intention will be to post additional questions and answers in installments according to date compiled. "Though in no way are the questions and answers a conclusive summary of the 2011 Proposed Budget, we do hope that citizens will find this information helpful," Cleland said. "This information is most accurately reviewed in the context of the complete budget document, which is posted in its entirety on www.lowermerion.org."
The next Public Hearing on the 2011 Proposed Budget is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st at 7 p.m.
