$200 Worth of Firewood Stolen from Merion Home, Police Say
Plus, a case of criminal mischief and marijuana possession in this week's blotter.
Lower Merion Police Department reported the following incidents to news media at a Monday briefing. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
Criminal Mischief: A resident of the 300 block of Bowman Avenue in Merion Station reported that between March 8 and March 11 someone keyed the side of a car in his driveway and let the air out of two of its tires.
Theft: A resident of the unit block of Raynham Road in Merion reported that about $200 of cut firewood from a Sugar Maple tree was stolen from the property on March 12 and 13.
Theft: A man in the 1000 block of Surrey Lane in Overbrook Hills reported that during the early morning of March 15 an envelope with $140 in it disappeared from his house. There was no forced entry found by police.
Marijuana Possession: A 24-year-old man from Philadelphia was cited on March 16 at around 10 p.m. outside a vacant building at 35 East Wynnewood Road. A small amount of marijuana was found in his possession.
Theft: A man reported on March 17 that all of the items he left in an unlocked locker at the Jewish Community Center in Penn Wynne were stolen. Including in those items was his wallet and car keys. His car was not stolen from the parking lot. An investigation is ongoing.
