Apricot Lane Boutique's Suburban Square location will be closing soon for financial reasons, according to a post on the boutique's Facebook page that Ardmore Patch has confirmed. The boutique will be closing within the next several weeks, an Apricot Lane representative told Patch in an email.

Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the following post appeared on the Apricot Lane Boutique Facebook page:

To all of our most valued customers:

We are sorry to say that we have made a decision to close our store in Suburban Square. Due to the current economic climate, we are unable to sustain a viable business at this location. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your loyalty over the past few years. Please stop in to take advantage of our Store Closing Sale.

Ashley & Teresa

The closing, a representative told Patch, will only affect the Suburban Square store. Currently, all merchandise is discounted 30 percent.

This is another in a series of recent changes at Suburban Square, including the departure of Victoria's Secret, Priscilla of Boston, Talbots, and Pierre Deux.

Well, Miriam, to start:

-A new jewelry store, Govberg Jewelers, moved into Suburban Square from Bala Cynwyd in March: http://patch.com/A-rJtF
- A new restaurant, St. James Place, will be taking the Victoria's Secret spot: http://patch.com/A-rbCB

I'll be doing an update on the shake ups in Suburban Square soon, though.

Who are you?
We already know about Govberg and the restaurant.
And I think we're looking for more information than you confirming that, yeah, this indeedy was on Facebook... Is this still Tom Walsh as editor? If so you have been doing a very poor job, sir. Alll I've been seeing is loads of "polls" where anyone can vote as many times as they want. People used to send me actual stories from this site. WTF?

Joe,

I am Ardmore Patch's new editor; I started yesterday. I'm aware that those two stories are old news—I linked to old Patch stories about them—I also stated in the comment above that I'll be doing an update on Suburban Square business soon.

Regarding this story, I did contact Apricot Lane and spoke with an employee; the information provided above is all they are willing to comment on at this time.

Thanks for reading.
