Police Blotter: DUI Arrests in Wynnewood, Penn Wynne
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Ardmore, Merion Station and Wynnewood:
Criminal mischief to cars: A Wynnewood woman was charged with scraping keys on the car of a fellow Brownie's patron Aug. 2 after he said something that upset her, police said.
Theft from building: Someone cut the master lock to a storage area at the Kelso building on Atkins Avenue in Ardmore late Aug. 1 or early Aug. 2, police said. They stole saw blades.
Burglary: An apartment resident on the first block of East Lancaster Avenue awoke at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 2 to hear a window screen being lifted, police said. After she called out to ask who was there, someone was heard fleeing down a fire escape. It was unclear whether anything was taken.
Public intoxication: A 45-year-old King of Prussia man was cited Aug. 2, a minute before midnight, for public intoxication after sleeping on a bench on the first block of East Lancaster Avenue, police said. His blood alcohol content tested at 0.18.
DUI: A 48-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested at Lancaster Avenue and Indian Creek Road about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 4, after an officer saw his car crossing over lane lines, police said.
DUI: A 28-year-old West Chester man was charged with DUI about 2:35 a.m. Aug. 5 after he was observed driving the wrong way on Morris Road in Wynnewood, police said. His blood alcohol content tested at 0.21.
