Police: Another Ardmore Burglary on Cricket Avenue
Ongoing burglary concerns continue to plague residences near downtown Ardmore.
The ongoing burglary threat to Ardmore continued last week with one more burglary reported on Cricket Avenue, bringing the total number of homes affected since Nov. 17 to 12 (see list below).
The burglary occurred on the 100 block of Cricket Avenue, the third time the block has been victimized in December, according to the police.
The burglary occurred sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, according to a Lower Merion Police report released Monday, Dec. 20. Four of the last six Ardmore burglaries were believed to have been conducted during daylight hours.
Electronics and currency were taken from the home, police said. The burglary was listed as a forced-entry burglary. No one was seen, according to the report.
Police continue to emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious activity, which Superintendent of Lower Merion Police Michael McGrath said will be key to ending the recent string of burglaries in the area.
