Police Activity: Burglaries, Terroristic Threat, Assault
A roundup of police activity the week of Aug. 6-12.
Lower Merion police responded to approximately 377 calls the week of Aug. 6 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, down from 396 calls the previous week.

Patch also has reported some incidents from the week of Aug. 6 that were relayed in a police briefing.
From Aug. 6 to 12, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:
- Three burglaries, two in Ardmore and one in Haverford
- Four fires
- Five cases of fraud
- A terroristic threat, on the unit block of E Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore, at 9:47 a.m. on Aug. 8
- Four car accidents with injuries
- One simple assault
- Seven thefts—three retail thefts, three building thefts, and one bike theft
