Police Activity: Burglaries, Terroristic Threat, Assault

A roundup of police activity the week of Aug. 6-12.

 

Lower Merion police responded to approximately 377 calls the week of Aug. 6 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, down from 396 calls the previous week.

A version of the department's most recent report, sorted by the type of incident and culled of incidents throughout the rest of Lower Merion, is attached to this article.

Patch also has reported some incidents from the week of Aug. 6 that were relayed in a police briefing.

From Aug. 6 to 12, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • Three burglaries, two in Ardmore and one in Haverford
  • Four fires
  • Five cases of fraud
  • A terroristic threat, on the unit block of E Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore, at 9:47 a.m. on Aug. 8
  • Four car accidents with injuries
  • One simple assault
  • Seven thefts—three retail thefts, three building thefts, and one bike theft
