Norman Carpet is moving soon from Ardmore to Bryn Mawr, said store owner Norman Chaikin.

The Bryn Mawr location, on the 500 block of Lancaster Avenue, is expected to open sometime between May 20 and June 1, Chaikin said.

After being at 60 Greenfield Ave. in Ardmore for 18 years, the carpet store is reopening in a 50 percent larger location—from 10,000 sq. ft. to 15,000 sq. ft., Chaikin said.

The more prominent and larger Lancaster Avenue location will provide greater accessibility and will allow the store to increase the selection and the handmade rug department, Chaikin said.
